Happy Thursday!
Here are three tracks we've had on repeat this week. Let us know your thoughts!
Fred Williams & The Jewels Band - Tell Her (1969)
This song blends heartfelt vocals with incredibly smooth rhythms. It turns out that Fred Williams' only release on Solo Records is highly coveted among rare 45 collectors. A pristine copy recently fetched £3000 according to Bandcamp.
Catching Flies - Satisfied (Ambient Reprise)
Honestly, we think this version tops the original. Catching Flies creates that smooth, sleek electronic vibe, kind of like Flying Lotus meets Bonobo, with a touch of hip-hop, soul, and jazz mixed in. This song, in particular, gives off some “Flower” by Moby vibes.
Jungle - Let's Go Back
A big shoutout to Jungle for consistently delivering top-notch art. Their latest track, which just dropped last week, is packed with energy. You can tell they put a lot of care into everything they create.
