“Got caught in Amsterdam”

Happy Friday all

We would like to share a great track we found about two months ago

We did not find any real social media presence accessible about the track or artist but luckily, we found a name and was able to get in touch with the artist with name Daniel Kadawatha by email.

Further down you can read about the story behind the song from the EP called

“The Thief In Marrakech Got Caught In Amsterdam Trying To Escape”

This weeks song is “Got caught in Amsterdam” by Arc de Soleil (Daniel Kadawatha)

According to Daniel, here is the story behind the song;

“The song is part of an EP which is a musical narrative about a thief who tries to escape the local police in Marrakesh but gets caught in Amsterdam. I usually try to imagine events and stories like this to inspire my music making, regardless if the songs have lyrics or not. I have always loved music where the guitar acts as the main narrator, and so for this song and the entire EP I was inspired by bands like The Shadows, Khruangbin and The Spotnicks, to name a few. Everything was recorded and mixed by myself in my studio in Stockholm.”

Thank you for reading Songletter. This post is public, hope could share it.
