Happy Friday!
We discovered this awesome track a while back and wanted to know more about it. So, we talked to the artist Daniel Kadawatha, who's best known as Arc De Soleil. Now, let's hear what Daniel has to say about it!
“The song is part of an EP which is a musical narrative about a thief who tries to escape the local police in Marrakesh but gets caught in Amsterdam. I usually try to imagine events and stories like this to inspire my music making, regardless if the songs have lyrics or not. I have always loved music where the guitar acts as the main narrator, and so for this song and the entire EP I was inspired by bands like The Shadows, Khruangbin and The Spotnicks, to name a few. Everything was recorded and mixed by myself in my studio in Stockholm.”
What do you think of this track?
You keep hitting home runs! Thanks.
It did not grab that much. It is not bad. I am partial to polyrhythms and percussion with melodic lines.
