We had two great discoveries we would like to share with you this week but first, let's talk about the vocalist in todays first song, she is called Flikka.

Flikka is adopted from the Swedish word 'flicka' which means 'girl'
According to Nordic music review, Flikka's life changed when one of her brothers offered her the chance to join his high school band. At first, she was hesitant to take on the opportunity, as the strict structure of her music school had nearly caused her to abandon her dreams of a musical career. However, when she joined her brother's band, she found a freedom she had never experienced before. This newfound freedom allowed her to explore her own creativity, and soon she was busking in the Stockholm subway and recording her own music in her family's basement. By embracing the chance to join her brother's band, Flikka was able to find her true passion and pursue her dream of becoming a musician.
In 2020, she got together with the talented "smackie-soul" group from Leeds, UK, Gotts Street Park. This incredible band is made up of songwriters, instrumentalists, and producers (Josh, Adam, Joe and Tom), and is renowned for crafting an immersive and soulful atmosphere throughout their music.

Together with Flikka they released the great song called “Favourite kind of girl” and we are surprised how such a good song dont have more plays. Flikka wrote all her parts and the band did an amazing job in creating a unique sound that really brings the song to life. The song is lively and the rhythms are banging.

We really enjoy the sound and vocals in this song and luckily we stumbled upon another great song by Gotts Street Park from their album “Volume Two” that were released in 2020. In one of the songs they teamed up with Rosie Lowe, a British singer-songwriter. Her soulful and evocative tone draws us in and her unique blend of influences creates a sound that is both modern and timeless.
