Heard of The Durutti Column
I've played them on the radio for 20 years or so, to a steady stream of "who ARE these guys?" Definitely overlooked, especially outside the UK.

Yeah, brilliant stuff - when people talk about the many brilliant musicians to come out of Manchester, Vini is all too often overlooked.
Wonder why, especially considering he has a lot of great music.
I think he's someone who just never had any interest in being in the spotlight, while plenty of his Mancunian contemporaries absolutely lived for it.
I'm just getting into them after reading a piece in The Guardian. Oddly, I thought they were something else entirely for years, something not for me. Wrong. Now I need to catch up with The Durutti Column, and I think it will be a joy.
