Since this is a summer of protest, we are working on a good soundtrack to keep folks inspired:

1) Ball of Confusion - Temptations

2) Fortunate Son - CCR

3) This Land is Your Land - Woody Guthrie

4) Get Up, Stand Up - Bob Marley & the Wailers

5) Ohio - CSNY

6) Big Yellow Taxi - Joni Mitchell

7) Talkin' Bout a Revolution - Tracy Chapman

8) Fight the Power - Public Enemy

9) Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine (my personal favorite)

and most oft requested because many of us are up in years

10) For What it's Worth - Buffalo Springfield

I've got 3 which in my opinion are summer bangers, one of which has summertime in the title. My top 3 on a loop are:

1) Summertime In The City - Scouting For Girls

2) Let In The Sun - Take That

3) Midnight Sun - Zara Larsson

In a pinch, I’d say any of the classics from the 70’s & 80’s (The Eagles especially), but out of pure loyalty, a wide selection of some of the best groups & solo artists from my home country (Australia), especially from 1985 - 2010, when the local music scene was BOOMING 🇦🇺🤘😏🇦🇺

I’m not such a sunny summersong listener, although French chansons usually put me in a vacation mood. I’ll go with “L’été Indien” by Joe Dassin.

Karmacoma - Massive Attack. The perfect tune when it’s boiling hot and no one can move, whether by the pool or on the beach.
