Moving past the band name, having never been a smoker it’s lost on me, the sound reminds me more of early Mazzy Star than any of the bands touted as major influences. Two more tracks in, that impression hadn’t changed…
been playing cigs after sex for quite a while on my @wpkn radio show...reliably haunting. loved the comment about "my lonely ass and my taste in depressing music bringing me here"
Enjoyed it, but tired of the band quickly, after ~ 3 songs. But I enjoy every suggestion you give, even the ones I don't enjoy, if that makes sense. I always love checking out stuff I've never heard of or have heard of but maybe forgotten to check out (pre-Spotify maybe). Don't ever stop, @Songletter!
I LOVE this band so much!! I found them back in 2015 when I was looking for new alternative music to listen to - and this was the first song I heard by them: instantly hooked and checked out their catalog.
I can't believe that is has been 13 years since the first time I heard this song! 😮 It still lives rent free in my head (and my music speakers) several times a week.

Greg Gonzalez said in an interview in France that Mazzy Star is one of his influences.
It just occurred to me that the CAS album cover is a mere copy of the image on Placebo's Greatest Hits
Great choice.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice one!
Thanks!

Its a brilliant alternative and their catalog is quite impressive.
This is the 2nd separate referral to the group I've seen this week, so I checked 'em out and yes, they make some enjoyable music indeed. Thanks much.
If you're into the ethereal thing, a somewhat similar ensemble is Envy of None:

Love that, its timeless!
Yes!
Ah man... this band! Such beautiful production and vocal delivery.
Apocalypse is the most seductive song I know! Great stuff.
Great song!
Are you into The Chameleons?
Yes, they are great.
Damn, they were sweet! I even subscribed to them. Thanks, SL!! It just turned me on to a new band. As you know, I love The Cure and The Smiths. 🤘❤️
Nice! And I have learned the word ‘limerent’ now 😊
'Dream Pop' is the label you are looking for 🙂
