It's so good it had to be an accident. So full of joy and beauty and hope. There's the musicianship, of course, but there are many great musicians in the world, and Ian Brown can barely hold a tune.. It's the alchemy of the four of them.

What a bass riff, what an album, what an interesting story about why it took them so long to record their second album. Here's an idea for another post - listing all the bands that were the "next Beatles" - Stone Roses, ELO, Badfinger, The Knack, etc., etc.

“Golden Brown” is a masterpiece of a song. The best single thing Guy Ritchie ever did was put that song in “Snatch”, thus introducing it to an another generation.
